There are many things you will stress you, work, financial situation, or your family, and etc. And stress will make a lot of effects to people, and people’s life.

How stresses affects the skin?

Stress sets off several physiological reactions in the body that can affect the skin. It causes the release of hormones like cortical that thicken hair follicle cells and increase oil production—the perfect recipe for acne.

Stress can also trigger neuropeptides, chemicals unleashed from nerve endings in the skin that leave it red or itchy, and encourage the skin's infection fighters, which is called the T cells to overreact, making the skin turn over too quickly and flake or scale. Then there are the blood vessels: Under stress they become more reactive, either clamping shut and makes the skin looks pale or sallow or opening too widely, which cause the skin to flush.

When you're stressed, the skin's repair mechanisms are compromised as well. Even though the stress a person is undergoing is relatively mild, it will affect the way the skin functions. Some experts do a research as gave volunteers tiny wounds on their skin by applying and then ripping off pieces of tape, or put them into a stressful environment. Their skin took longer than usual to heal.

Is there any treatment?

There are many treatments one can take, which are recommended by psychodermatologists, such as meditation, acupuncture, psychotherapy, and massage, soothe the skin by decreasing the stress response through relaxation. And in some cases, when people utilize stress-reduction techniques, their skin misbehaves less often and less dramatically.

And there are also other treatments like imaging, biofeedback, and hypnosis. With the methods, one will not only feel relaxed but also a good way to know more about how to control physiological factors such as body temperature and skin moistures.

So far, you may find that there seems to be no doctors suggest traditional skin treatment. That’s because if you have acne which is trigger by stress, you will see improvement from stress reduction techniques. But sometimes it cannot be totally recue with the stress management. You have to take the topical antibiotic to get rid of the bacteria under your skin after you have acne.

Well. This is a new concept of treat your skin well. You can clean your skin in your own way, but more than that, you should have a good mood to maintain good skin. Maybe some stress management lessons will help!

Then, wish you a happy life and good skin!
