Canon has recently launched its much awaited camera model EOS 7D.Canon lovers had been waiting for something like this to take on Nikon d3000 series.It’s an advanced model of sub frame digital SLR camera.

Canon has recently launched its much awaited camera model EOS 7D.Canon lovers had been waiting for something like this to take on Nikon d3000 series.It’s an advanced model of sub frame digital SLR camera.It includes various features which were only seen in a couple of models from Nikon, Sony, Pentax and Olympus.Its dimensions are 5.8X4.4x2.9 inches with the body weight of the camera being 945grams including batteries.Its body design has been made to provide a sound grip to the user by providing an indentation in the middle.It also has a pop up flash built into it.Canon EOS 7D reviews have been mostly positive and user has liked it.
It has a brand new 18 megapixel sensor APX sensor with 1.6x crop factor.Canon claims each pixel to be of 4.3 microns in size and says that their gapless lenses gather plenty of picture light.This particular model of canon has been designed for speed.It has a dual DIGIC 4 processor which helps in capturing 8 frames per second while the 14 bit analog to digital conversion is maintained.The sensors have been designed to enable a speed, which provides an 8 channel readout.The 7D buffers can handle 94 JPEGs or 15RAW images at its top speed.Its maximum aperture is 3.5.
It has a 3.0inch LCD for a display.Its shutter mechanism is the same one as used by 1D- series of Canon digital SLR’s at 150,000 cycles.The Canon EOS 7D also supports HD movie recording providing you with crystal clear high definition videos.Its EV compensation has been in both the directions to be five stops.The ISO settings range from 100 to 6,400 with an expanded setting up to 12,800. Its inbuilt flash has a wide range and can handle up to 15mm wide angle lenses.
The flash also works as a remote commander for three groups of flashes, this is also a new feature introduced in the canon range for the first time.Its various other feature include an Electronic level, 19 point autofocus system, a multi function button for quick access to various settings without having to resort to camera’s menu.It also has a new LCD view finder display overlay.It’s a must buy for photographers but also canon fans looking for high end digital cameras.
Canon EOS cameras come in the cost range of $1500 – 2000.
