The chairman of Goodluck Jonathan Global Campaign Team (GJGCT), has made a clarion call to Nigerians to support the aspiration of the incumbent President Jonathan towards next year’s general elections.
Mr. Peter Eledan, who is also the vice chairman of the Nigerian in Diaspora Organisation (NIDOE), United Kingdom Chapter made the call in a chat with the news men in London recently.
He said it was very crucial for the youths which constitute about 60 percent of Nigerians’ population to fully support the President with their votes and to stand by their votes next year, noting that the country at this moment deserved a proactive leader that can move the country out of political doldrums.
The group chairman pointed out that the country was tired of iterative political propaganda from unpatriotic politicians, whose activities have rendered the country prostrate economically, saying his organisation was ready to use all resources available to mobilize Nigerians for President Jonathan to win next year’s election.
He explained that the country needed a visionary leader that would take the development of the country and her citizens paramount, stating that ‘’we should not be wallowing in abject poverty and political uncertainties 50 years into independence.
Mr Peter said the leadership quality of President Jonathan since he became the President has shown that he was prepared to lead the nation into a globally recognised one where the rule of law would take its due relevance.
In conclusion, he appealed to all Nigerians not to waste their votes by casting them for another candidate that may turn out to become albatross to the nation’s development.
