Students who wish to pursue a post graduation course in the field of management prefer to sit for this exam, with the hope that they can get into any of the B-schools of the country that accept the CMAT score. Once you sit for this exam and get yourself enrolled at a reputed B-school, you will automatically be placed at the manager level. The CMAT is usually held in the last week of February and it is hoped that the CMAT Exam 2012 will be held during the time frame, though the exact date hasn’t been announced yet.
Applicants who wish to sit for the CMAT have to graduates in any field from a recognized university with a UGC status. However students who are appearing their final year are also eligible to sit for the CMAT. The question paper for CMAT is divided into 4 sections of – verbal ability, quantitative ability, reasoning ability and general awareness; the paper is in the mode of multiple choice questions and the time allotted to complete the paper is 2 hours. CMAT Exam 2012 like all the previous editions of the CMATs is going to be held in various centers across the country, which is likely to be numbered at 41 cities. With exams like the CMT introduced in our educational infrastructure, hopefully this will encourage students to pursue their higher studies within the country and not go abroad.
The reason why the CMAT is such an elite exam and why only a handful of students are allowed in the programme in the first place is because the course curriculum involves a state-of-the-art enterprise resource planning solutions. Along with this, the course also includes how to handle complete automated and customized ERP systems to multi-locations, multi-users and multi-level educational service. But one thing should be kept in mind that the Common Pvt. Ltd doesn’t play any role in admission of the students to any of the B-schools. Students have to apply themselves separately to the colleges they wish to pursue their degree from. Each college has their own set of cut-off marks and based on the marks obtained by the students in the CMAT Exam 2012, the colleges will accept the applicants for the next year.
The CMAT looks forward to test the applicant’s business studies knowledge and their degree of understanding of the same, which is why commerce graduates or management graduates hold an edge over the other applicants. There is no upper limit of age for applicants who wish to sit for the CMAT. Since this too is an elite exam, for the CMAT aspirants, it is advisable that they get hold of earlier papers and solve as many as possible. Reading the newspapers and having an awareness of the occurrences around the world will help in the general knowledge section for the CMAT Exam 2012.
