Yoga is one of the oldest forms of exercises that originated from different parts of Asia. The best part about yoga is that it gives you both physical and mental exercise. Yoga helps you connect your mind with body and creates more self awareness. An ordinary man might consider yoga as a set of stretching exercises along with some deep breathing but there are several different types of yoga that can be used for different purposes. Some of the most important and famous types of yoga are mentioned below.
Ashtanga Yoga.
Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic type of yoga in which you smoothly move from one pose to another while inhaling or exhaling your breath. The length of your breath determines the time you spend transitioning from one pose to the other. Every pose is held for a specific number of breaths. The continuous transition of poses increase the intensity and causes you to sweat profusely. This type of yoga helps in the purification of skins and different organs.
Bikram Yoga.
It is a type of yoga which is performed in a room that is heated up to 100 degrees in order to promote profuse sweating. It is named after its founder Bikram Choudry who incorporated some modern techniques in the traditional yoga. This type of yoga improves the flexibility of muscles and it also strengthens them. Moreover, Bikram yoga is also very effective for losing weight and that is why it is gaining a lot of popularity these days.
Power Yoga.
