What's Bladder?
Bladder is a muscular, balloon shaped hollow organ which stores urine (Urine is a fluid which has water and waste soluble in water that aren't essental to our body). The kidney separates the waste product from our blood and passes it on to the bladder to be able to throw it out of our body.

Bladder Cancer:
Bladder cancer is triggered because of growth of carcinogen cells in the bladder. The lumps (nodules) developed within the bladder could be malignant or benign. There are many kinds of bladder cancer namely Transitional Cell Carcinoma (that is a common type of bladder cancer. This kind of cancer develops in the cells in the lining of the bladder walls), Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and glandular cell carcinoma referred to as Adenocarcinomas.

Aside from the kinds of bladder cancer, it's also classified in line with the nature of tumor and the extent it has spread. The bladder cancer is known as superficial bladder cancer if the tumor hasn't left the linings of bladder and has not yet spread to the other area. The bladder cancer is known as unpleasant cancer if it has begun spreading to the muscle walls of the bladder.

Bladder Cancer Signs
Bladder cancer symptoms in men and women are more or less comparable. In the event of women, the cancer can spread to close by organs like, uterus and vagina, which could present some additional signs and symptoms. However, in the event of men the cancer can spread to the prostate gland. The cancer may also invade the wall of the belly in both women and men. Probably the most commonly observed bladder cancer symptoms in females, in addition to men are
•Blood in urine or hematuria
•Frequent urges to urinate (because of the inflammation and irritation brought on by the growth of the cancerous cells)
•Painful urination or a burning sensation while passing urine
•Pain in the stomach and in the lower back area (could be a sign of cancer spreading to the kidneys)

All these signs and symptoms can however, be related to conditions other than bladder cancer. Problems like, urinary tract infections, bladder infection, bladder and kidney stones can produce signs, which may be much like the signs of bladder cancer. If the cancer is in the advanced stage, then one can observe a few more signs along with those mentioned previously. These symptoms include lack of appetite, unexplained weight reduction, fever, anemia and pain in the rectal, anal and pelvic area or bone pain. The bladder cancer signs in children are almost much like those observed in their adult counterparts.
