The beauty that surrounds Barcelona is beyond definition. The blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea meet between mountains of Catalonia. The place is also suitable for art enthusiasts. In Barcelona, Romanesque art combines with exquisite art displays on different museums and places in the town.
It is ideal to visit Barcelona between the month of April and October. During this time, Barcelona receives the best weather that features a moderate and Mediterranean climate. Otherwise also Barcelona is blessed with sunny days, cold winters, hot summers and lovely fall and spring. You can enjoy drinking and dancing in the city streets while the Carnival is going on. For watching live performances, watch Sardana which is catalan dance. During Fiesta de la Mercè that takes place during September you will find many such performances. Barri Gótic (the old town) is known for Barcelona's architectural masterpieces. Also watch the Gothic Cathedral, the Palau de la Generalitat, the Episcopal Palace and the Plaça del Rei.
Barcelona inhabitants are affable hosts, but the due to constant flow of affluent tourists, pick pocketing and tourist scams have also become common. Keep your belongings and wallet safely. In order to avoid being misguided, do carry maps and information leaflets.
