Like a lot of people I work in London but am originally from up North, I moved to London after I graduated as I looked for a job in publishing. My family are still based in or around Birmingham while I live in Camden, London.

Like a lot of people I work in London but am originally from up North, I moved to London after I graduated as I looked for a job in publishing. My family are still based in or around Birmingham while I live in Camden, London. Whenever I get the chance I go back to my parents’ house to chill out and catch up with all my family and friends.
When I moved to London I sold my beloved Citroen Saxo and instead got myself a BMW Motorcycle. It is so difficult to drive around London, my flat doesn’t have dedicated parking bays so looking for parking in the evenings would be a nightmare, I see my neighbours going round and round some times.
My mum hates me riding a motorbike, but it’s the practical thing to do. My thoughts were re-enforced when I worked my way around the crazy traffic jams on Friday as the bank holiday exodus began. All roads exiting out of London were jammed, the A1 and the M1 were horrendous, and the M25 as usual was at a crawl.
Once I passed Milton Keynes it all got a lot better, until I entered the elevated section of the M6 just before Birmingham. I thought I was home and dry but then got stuck on the M6 trying to get off at my junction for 45 minutes, normally on a motorbike you can weave through but unfortunately the junction was closed off completely.
I admit two wheels may not be safest option, but at times it seems to be the only logical one!
