Ayurvedic Treatment dates back to pre-vedic period. The ancient scriptures of ayurveda are Rigveda & Atharvaveda which dates back to 5000 years B.C. contains references on health and diseases.

Ayurvedic Treatment dates back to pre-vedic period. The ancient scriptures of ayurveda are Rigveda & Atharvaveda which dates back to 5000 years B.C. contains references on health and diseases. Other ancient texts of ayurveda principles are Charak Samhita and Sushruta Samhita which belongs to 1000 B.C. Ayurveda means science of life and it advices people on techniques to stay healthy and to live a longer and happier life.
It explains the methods and way of living for a human being during his entire span of life, starting from the childhood. Apart from this it explains the various ailment that attack human being and ways to overcome it. It has its own unique therapeutic measures based on the herbs that are derived from nature. Ayurvedic principles in regard to therapeutic treatment aim at attaining physical, mental, social and spiritual welfare of human beings. To achieve this, patients has to adhere to the therapy as well as the diet and way of living the physician prescribes.

* Eugenics and aphrodisiacs(Vajikarana)
