The Audi TT has been produced by Audi since 1998; it is a two door sports car available as a 2+2 seater coupe and a two seater Roadster. After the success of the first model, the second generation model was introduced in 2006 at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The three petrol models are all turbo powered, there is a 2.0 litre with 208bhp, the 2.0 litre TTS with 270bhp and the 335bhp TT RS. All three of the petrol engines are fast. The single diesel offering is a 2.0 litre unit producing 168bhp. All the engines come with a six speed annual gearbox as standard; an S Tronic six speed semi auto is available on most of the engines as an option.
Pundits have praised the TT’s amazing grip and crisp handling. There is little to no body roll, but that does not affect the ride comfort.
Earlier on this year What Car? voted the TT the best coupe, for the fifth year running. The judging panel praised the Audi TT's handling, commenting that it comes in to its own when cornering: "The strong grip and body control means it changes direction like a housefly, while the responses from the steering, throttle and brakes are razor-sharp. This is a sports car with real finesse."
