Sheet-Metal doors:
These are designed using high quality steels and can be constructed using different types of designs such as flush, paneled and corrugated designs.
Rolling steel doors:
These doors are constructed using a different design pattern namely interlocking steel slat design and plate-steel construction.
Hollow metal doors:
It is constructed using the flush or paneled design in an effective way. Moreover, the material used for its construction is heavier steel.
Tin-clad doors:
There are two or three ply wood core construction and covered with galvanized steel or terneplate. It consists of galvanized steel doors that are not above 48 inches wide.
Wood-core doors:
These doors consist of wood, hardboard or plastic-face sheets bonded to a wood block or wood particle board core material with untreated wood edges.
Curtain-type doors:
These consist of interlocking steel blades or a continuous formed spring steel curtain in a steel frame.
All these are some of the basic type of fire doors. However, there are many more fire doors emerging rapidly due to the steady growth of the innovative technology. Still, you need to carefully choose a fire door for your home, because fire doors that are made up of low quality materials may not last long and would be ineffective for securing your life and precious assets.
