For a student, the best possible aspect during the studentship career is to read further in his or her subject. Although, many people do change their courses, yet, going to a high level of education in any particular course is no less than an achievement. Higher degrees of masters, PhDs, post graduate courses, MPhil, D Lit, etc are some of the qualifications that are possible in the higher studies after graduation. And students do aspire to have such qualifications.
But for many students, such an aspiration is not always fruitful as they fail to proceed with their education due to a variety of reasons. Different people have different reasons to drop off the courses and get engaged in some other activities. Of the various reasons, one which was considered as a major hindrance to the pursuance of higher studies was the lack of quality universities in India.
But, this is a scenario, which was true till some years back and is no more a suitable reason to be cited when people do not study further. With the rise in private and deemed universities in India, the issue of discontinuation of studies has gone into the history books. Now, everyone has the chance to pursue their education in their own streams or some other streams.
Government universities in India has also been opened in many places, although these were the primary source of higher education, some years back. Such government institutions were shouldering the major responsibility of imparting education to most of the students who could and who wished to continue their education. Some of them like the Pune university, University of Madras, University of Lucknow, University of Calicut, Punjab University, University of Calcutta, Banaras Hindu University, etc are well known in India as well as abroad. They have been in the good books of most of the students and they are still queuing up for admissions in the institutes of these government universities in India.
Though the number of students wishing for higher education has increased significantly in recent years, the number of seats in such government colleges was not raised proportionally. With the formation and establishment of private universities in India, the students now got the chance to further their education to the masters and post graduate levels. And as the deemed universities in India were set up and declared, this issue of higher education did evaporate almost completely.
Although these deemed and private universities in India charged their tuition fees on the higher side, yet, their education and the degrees thereby were able to solve a lot of issues for the students. Many students are now studying in these institutes under the private and deemed universities and are attaining qualification in various subjects in arts, commerce and science streams. With such education, they are able to get better qualifications as the present jobs and careers demand. The future of education system in India is looking up at the brighter side along with the future of the millions of students, who were not able to find admissions in higher courses due to lack of proper institutions.
