Aruba's dive operators guarantee a visitor an experience of a lifetime. These totally professional outfits present a wonderful service, picking up and dropping off and generally giving you a fabulous adventure.
Sitting just off Venezuela's Paraguana peninsula, the small island of Aruba is one of the Lesser Antilles, and one of the so called ABC islands, along with Bonaire and Curacao. This lovely isle is approximately 19 miles in length and just 5 miles is width. It has a population of just under 100,000 and is blessed with some of the most beautiful landscape across the Caribbean, and crystal clear waters lapping onto gorgeous soft white sands. The weather is excellent all year round and this accounts for the huge numbers of visitors who travel from all over the world, especially the United States, Canada, Argentina, Columbia, and parts of Northern Europe, particularly Germany and The Netherlands.

There is a laid back feel to the place, that is common throughout the Caribbean, but with a real stylish quality that really needs to be sampled to fully appreciate it. The accommodation available is at the top end of luxury and much of it is aimed at those who not only come for the splendor of the place, but also for those who simply love to scuba dive in Aruba. This activity is a chief draw with some terrific sites scattering the western coast, and are accessible via a large choice of operators who battle for custom, and offer a marvelous service.

Many will liaise with the hotel that a visitor is staying at and actually run a pick up and drop off system, making life much easier. Visibility is usually almost perfect on the dives, meaning that a novice can quickly acclimatize and derive maximum enjoyment from the experience. Whilst all the operators are professional and safety conscious, some are less strict than others with regards to precise times under the water, and allowing a little freedom. A dive in Aruba can be over before you know it, as there is so much to see and take in, whether that be the incredible colors of the marine creatures, the fascinating shapes and formations of the coral, or the awesome sights of the many shipwrecks that can found dotted all along the coast, often in relatively shallow water.

Instruction is made quite simple, but is thorough and certainly sufficient to permit a competent dive. If the intention is to participate in several dives over a few days then a progressive program will be drawn up to allow steady progress and improvement. So although it is inevitable that excitement will be coupled with a touch of apprehension on a maiden dive, there really is nothing to worry about. In no time at all a diver will find themselves in the company of eels, lobsters, turtles, barracudas, sea-horses and angle fish amongst many others.

Some operators will take 2 instructors out on board their boats as an added safety measure, and the usual practice will be for everybody to be debriefed at the conclusion of the dive. The adventure of a lifetime is guaranteed and there is a very good chance that after the first dive, you will be hooked and suddenly scuba diving has become not just a holiday activity, but a regular pastime.
