The word arthritis refers to all types of inflammation in the joints. It not only directed at the joint but may also attack any part of the body such as bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons and some internal organs.

Saturated and Trans Fats
Saturated fat & trans fat are considered unhealthy because they tend to raise lipoprotein levels and triglyceride levels. Excess weight can put extra pressure to the joints and can lead to cartilage breakdown and cause joint damage. Saturated fat is found commonly in foods from animals and some plant-based such as butter, coconut, palm, cheese, whole milk, ice cream, cream, and fatty meats. While trans fat can be found in in fast food, fried foods margarines and other commercial baked goods (cookies, donuts, pies, crackers,etc) .
Nightshades
People who suffer from arthritis, it's important that they stay away from nightshade. These food can contribute to your arthritis symptoms. Nightshade family include sweet and hot peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, pepinos, cape gooseberry, garden huckleberry, ground cherries, chinese lanterns, tomatillos, ground cherry, cayenne Tabasco sauce and belladonna.
Gluten
Arthritis is sometimes caused by the inflammatory response of the immune system in the body. Gluten may trigger autoimmune diseases and can create and increase inflammation in arthritis. You can reduce arthritis pain by avoiding gluten food. These include wheat, grain products, triticale, rye, dairy products, barley, semolina, spelt, bulgur, wheat germ and wheat grass.
Dairy products
Dairy products such as eggs, milk and yogurt may contribute to increase inflammation and pain of the joints in people with arthritis. Patients with arthritis may be well-advised to avoid certain foods that contain dairy products. Low-fat dairy products have been found to decrease the risk of arthritis.
Alcohol
People who suffer from arthritis needs to be cut out alcohol completely from their diet consumption. Alcohol can interact with the efficacy of arthritis medications and lead to adverse effects. Drinking too much will put extra pressure on the can increase pressure on the liver detoxify the alcohol.
Other Foods to Avoid
When you have arthritis, you can significantly reduce your levels of inflammation by avoid certain foods may trigger arthritis such as sugar, salt and foods rich in oxalic acid (like cocoa, tea, cranberries, orange juice, Lemon, plums, spinach, almonds, cashews, chardand raisins).
In arthritis treatment, just as there are foods to avoid with arthritis, there are food which must be consumed. These foods will help in alleviating the symptoms of arthritis.
