Milkshakes are a good source of protein and much-needed nutrition.
Did you know drinking milkshakes help you keep your diet goals on track? According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a new study showed that the texture of milkshakes helped keep participants satiated between breakfast and lunch. The study was conducted on 15 men with a BMI of 22.6. They were allowed to drink dairy-based milkshakes that contained 50% carbohydrate, 20% protein and 30% fat. The results showed that thick 100-calorie shake led to greater feelings of fullness compared to the thin 500-calorie shake. It also decreased the feeling of hunger and helped with weight loss.

Milkshakes are a good source of protein and much-needed nutrition. But, often people fail to realize the nutritive value of it. Order a milkshake from your favorite restaurant, and it will partially meet your body’s daily requirement of carbohydrates, mineral, vitamin, and protein.

Protein

Since milk is the main ingredient of milkshakes, they are very nutritious. Drinking a glass of milk daily is good for your bone development. Did you know bodybuilders also drink milk because they want to build their muscles through whey, which is actually an aggregate of protein molecules that helps the body with needed building blocks of proteins?

Carbohydrate

The table sugar in the milkshakes can easily provide us with energy for our brains to function well. You can also add as many fruit options as you like as they are a good source of vitamins and dietary fiber for better digestion. Adding strawberries, mangoes and other citrus fruits is a right choice as they are rich in vitamin C and helps combat diseases and boost our immune system.

Fiber

Fiber is a vital nutrient that enhances the growth and functioning of digestive, excretory, and even the cardiovascular system. Drinking milkshakes cleanses up toxins and other unwanted fats that clog our digestive tracts and is considered to be a good option for digestion. The lower amount of fats in milkshakes encourages the cardio-vascular system to have a healthier flow of blood and a more stable heart. Since milkshakes wash away toxins and other wastes, it helps our excretory system to perform its function well.
