Antiepileptics or Anticonvulsants are a class of medications that are used in treating various kinds of problems caused by convulsions or seizures caused by epilepsy, strokes or brain tumors. The basic action of anticonvulsants in relieving neuropathic pain is not entirely understood as yet, with number of theories being put forth.
