These days it’s difficult not to feel a social responsibility to give something back to our communities and to charities. But don’t worry, there are plenty of ways you can donate and do your bit.

The Volkswagen Scirocco has gone though three generations of production, the first being in 1974, then 1992 and now 2008. The latest model is a 3 door coupe based on the same platform as the mark 5 Golf. The new Scirocco received a maximum 5 star safety rating at the EuroNCAP crash tests; it received 87% for adult occupancy and 73% for child occupancy.

All the engines come with a 6 speed manual gear box as standard; some of the models have the option of a 7 speed DSG or a 6 speed DSG transmission.
VW produced a road going version of the Scirocco GT24, called the Scirocco R. It has the 2.0 litre TSI engine with 261bhp. It has large air intake openings in the front bumper, an integrated front spoiler, bi-xenon headlights, larger rear roof edge spoiler, black diffuser, dual exhaust with chrome tailpipes, Talladega 18-in alloy wheels.
At the 2011 Parkers’ New Car Awards, the VW Scirocco was crowned with the accolade of Best Sports Car. After years of the Gold winning awards it is nice to have another VW model scooping up awards.
