The Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo produces some of the most distinctive car models seen on European roads. Models on offer include the MiTo supermini, the small hatchback named Giulietta and the classic Alfa Romeo GTV. The car maker might be unsuccessful in its bid to compete with the likes of Audi and BMW but it’s none the less one of the more charismatic manufacturers around.
The Alfa Romeo MiTo is a 3-door 1.4-litre petrol supermini designed for people who are downsizing but still want a car with style. It’s sporty in nature and competitively priced and will on those grounds alone attract a following.
The Giulietta is a small hatchback designed to compete with the likes of the Audi A3, the Honda Civic and the Ford Focus. It comes with great comfort and practical boot space and oozes style but might fall down on driving experience. The Giulietta is available with turbo, stop & start technology and direct fuel injection and both the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and the 2.0-litre turbodiesel do 0-62 mph in 8.0 seconds. The petrol version emits 134g/km of Co2 and delivers 48.7mpg while the figures for the diesel version are 124g/km and 60.1mpg.
But although the Giulietta and the MiTo both are stylish cars, some people still question Alfa Romeo’s reliability. But if you ever have a problem with an Alfa Romeo, take it to a facility offering Alfa Romeo servicing. Kent and other regions should have dealerships at hand able to assist. That way you get the vehicle assessed by an Alfa Romeo expert and if it’s still under warranty, you’ll probably get any niggles ironed out for free.
