A death registered also facilitates the authority to compile data on public health and leading causes of death.
Death is such a taboo subject among the superstitious living and taking it to the next level as a prank is really akin to lifting the lit of the Pandora box for them. But for the youngsters who are least superstitious, the laughter can be unending even after the joke’s over. Last April Fool’s Day, a bunch of my college-mates had mailed a fake death certificate to our anthropology lecturer. It was a timely idea since the current syllabus at the time was on death and cultural rituals. Till today, the laughter hasn’t stopped because the table was turned on us.
Our lecturer actually got wind of our prank and decided to do the same on us by getting fake death certificates for each and every one of the students in class! He had passed it directly to us in a sealed envelope as we walked into class for a purportedly last minute test. Everyone burst out laughing as our lecturer jokingly announced that we would now be able appreciate our syllabus more easily since we are all dead. Thanks to the fake death certificates prank, we now enjoy attending his classes.
