Alpen Optics was established in 1997 and since then they have been developing a wide array of binoculars, spotting scopes, rifle scopes as well as accessories for their products. Their affirmed objective is to provide superior quality optical items at affordable price tags. In addition, they emphasize on bringing high quality features that are available in expensive models to their more affordable scopes.
At the moment, Alpen Optics offers more than 70 products plus accessories that are all backed out by their limited lifetime warranty. All of the items are warranted to be free of all manufacturing defects in workmanship and material for the length of time specified in the warranty contract, provided that the item was not abused, tampered or disassembled. If a defect occurs, the company will repair or even replace the returned product.
Their riflescopes are divided into two distinct categories: Apex and Kodiak. The first offers models with fully multi-coated lenses for bringing maximum light transmission and optical clarity. In addition, all of the riflescopes from this series benefit from finger adjustable windage and elevation dials with ¼ minute click adjustments that will guarantee super accuracy and easy adjustment. The construction of these riflescopes is entirely waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. Similar with other riflescopes from this manufacturer benefit from the proprietary AccuPlex tapered reticles and a generous 3-inch eye relief. The Alpen Apex series have a hard coat, black matte, non-reflective finish.
All of the Alpen riflescopes and shotgun scopes have eyepiece focus adjustments in order to permit a much sharper and clear viewing image for the hunter. At the factory, the eyepieces are preset to 20/20 vision. In the Apex series there are four models available, as follows:
1. Alpen 4030 – featuring 3-9x magnification level, a 42 mm objective diameter, 1-inch tube diameter, 3-inch eye relief, fully-multi coated lenses and parallax setting at 100 yards.
2. Alpen 4035 – is available with a 3.5-10x magnification level, a 50 mm objective diameter, 1-inch tube diameter and a mounting length of 5.6 inches.
3. Alpen 4040 – comes as standard with a 4-16x magnification level and a 50 mm objective diameter. The 1-inch tube diameter and a 3-inch eye relief round up the highlights of this model.
4. Alpen 4045 – the most expensive model from the Apex series is available with a 6-24x magnification level and with a 50mm objective lens diameter. Similar to the rest of the models, it comes with fully multi coated lenses for ultimate accuracy.
All of these scopes come with the proprietary and exclusive AccuPlex tapered reticles that will permit the hunter a fast target acquisition, regardless of the light conditions and the hunting environment. Offering features that you would only find in more expensive riflescopes, the Apex series is exactly what are budget-minded hunters looking for.
