Arunachal Pradesh marks the north-eastern border of India. Arunachal Pradesh shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east and China PR in the north. Some of the religiously uplifting places in Arunachal Pradesh are Malinithan, Rukhmininagar the place where Rukhmini (Lord Krishna’s wife) grew up, and ParshuramKund the lake where Parshuram is believed to have washed his sins.
Arunachal Pradesh, being rich in natural beauty, is a perfect place to trek, river raft and practice other adventure activities.
Arunachal Pradesh is the home to almost 700 species of birds and 200 species of mammals, making it one of the richest states in terms of wildlife, only next to Assam.
How To Reach
Air: There are airports in Pasighat, Along, Ziro, Tezu and Daparijo; however, these airports are small in size and do not ply regular flights to connect with the rest of the country. The nearest commercial airport is Lilabari airport in Assam, which is 67 km from Itanagar.
Rail: Harmuty railway station is about 30 km from Itanagar, and North Lakhimpur station in Assam, which plies regular passenger trains to other cities, is about 60 km from Itanagar.
Road: Arunachal Pradesh has two highways: one connects to Tezpur and the other connects it to Jonai, both in Assam. All the villages in Arunachal Pradesh are well connected by roads and inter-state transport services.
