Childreach International India organizes ‘ Symphony for Harmony’ – where children from leading schools in Delhi NCR will perform as bands for the cause of underprivileged children in India.
New Delhi – Kamal Sabri, son of Sarangi maestro Ustad Sabri Khan has been reinventing the art for quite some years and at the same time, maintaining the rich legacy of the Sania gharana of Moradabad – considered as one of the most important gharanas for sarangi players.

Kamal, who is the seventh generation of a distinguished family of traditional musicians, has demonstrated profound versatility in playing the Sarangi and is also known to take the tradition into the lives of modern India. Kamal has also made his mark on national as well as International forums and has made India proud with brilliant contributions to Indian and international musicals, movies and programs.

The reowned sarangi player has become associated with the charitable organization, Childreach International India. Talking on this Kamal says "Social work for me is a part of my life,I believe in this initiative and hope they can help as many people as possible."

A loved celebrity from age of 5, Kamal Sabri, has also inherited a loving and sensitized heart from the legend. He takes time out of his hectic schedule to showcase Individual social responsibity and effectly involves himself in social service. He takes a step forward and pledges ‘ to create a world where ever child reaches his/her full potential’ with Childreach International India.

On the occasion of Children’s week from 14-20 November 2011, guided by eminent professionals like Kamal Sabriji, Childreach International India is organising an evening of ‘ Symphony for Harmony’ – where children from leading schools in Delhi NCR will perform as bands for the cause of underprivileged children in India. As guide and judge for the event Ustad Kamal ji share ‘ Music is a binding element that converts all emotions into love and harmony.

When the young scholars are sensitised at such young ages, it is then we can see the desired change in India. Childreach International India’s My school My Voice program is an excellent platform, where children are being sensitised on various social issues. This will bring the change into the generation that will be the future leaders.

As a child prodigy Kamal Sabri ji feels deeply for the children – privileged and underprivileged and has come forth as an example of an person truly fulfilling Individual Social Responsibility. Kamal Sabri an inspiration and an example, upholding the motto of ‘ Unlocking a Child’s Potential with Childreach International India, a part of an International charity working for child welfare programs, early childhood development, girl child and women.

Kamal Sabri ji has pledges to be an ambassador of Child Rights and to help create awareness on the deprivations faced by children around India. Talking on this Kamal Sabri ji says ‘Music also means love. Isn’t it. Did you ever notice when we get angry our hearts go so far from each other that we shout but when we love each other than even a whisper works. It means love binds so as Music. What impresses me the most in Childreach International India’s My School My Voice initiative is the way the whole program tries to bridge the gap between haves and have not. I’m really honored to be a part of this movement.

Childreach International has been acknowledged in the House of Commons by British parliamentarians. It has also become an Approved Activity Provider of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme for voluntary activities.
