The amount of time and energy spent to become noticed by people mostly exceeds the basic substance of their work. Though marketing around this world operates on few basic gospels, out of which the basic mantra is popularity/publicity etc. Too much is always in the air these days where maximum tutoring comes to modern man/women through different mode of publicity. What to eat, what to wear, what to use is all tutored through different publicity campaigns. And strange is the phenomena;
that publicity rocks the minds of people in no time and at the same time its effect dissipates within no time… the upsurge and evaporation both occur with similar intensity. This article is not about critical appraisal upon publicity/ advertisements… this article are about the kind of insight people construct following the acts of publicity or advertisement. Those who have nothing to sell but want to sell i.e. promote self concentrate upon publicising self to such extents that they lose on all counts that build up excellence. Hype is a word that is gaining prevalence besides the word publicity… it is commonly shared in gossips that – that particular publicity campaign merely created a hype whereas there was hardly any substance in the basic product/movie etc.

People want themselves to be hyped in their respective surrounds… nothing to sell but yet a change at their perception levels regulates their conduct… unless we hype our persona we may not be able to secure the required attention from the people around ourselves. This understanding gives birth to an artificial synthetic human being… a being that is absolutely plastic at the end of principles, a being that has no time for true growth, a being that merely wants to be spotted and sighted by everyone around. Right from adolescent age onward this problem keeps gathering more and more ground in most of the people.
This kind of an understanding does not inflict much damage so far as exclusive personal lives of people are concerned… the maximum damage such understand afflicts is the imagery of a human being in his/her personal circle. But the gravest damage done by such kind of a borderless extrovert is upon one’s own professional work. We all in this modern world are professional in one or the other form or capacity and in this advancing age of qualitative productivity hypes are turning more fatal than their use… Shift of this world towards networking and affiliation is a writing upon the sky that now the time for absolute focus upon worthiness of one’s services is advancing towards us; packaging shall only be left to carry its core product safe… no longer it (packaging) shall count upon sale of its product. The above line is yet another reiteration of the fact that merely the essence of any one’s service shall count… all rest may not even find the secondary stand.
Even networking has a limited age; any kind of networking shall only work up to a small period of time… beyond that networking shall retain the function of pleasantries whereas serious business shall be taken over by the qualitative aspect of one’s performance.
There have been people around this world yesterday; today and even tomorrow shall witness their luminosity… people who performed their respective obligation from caves (devoid of any publicity, hype or networking)… people who gave all towards the focus upon their chosen profession. They became the reservoir of energy to extents that world stood on a day to appreciate and undertake their establishment as way of life.
Remember friends we can draw learning and inspiration from the same lines where most shall draw amusement… this article is not an expression that is either standing averse to publicity or networking… it merely wants to ignite a wisdom within where we understand and adopt a rationale approach towards pursuance of our professional lives which today; merely draw their motivation and enrichment from perception gathered from publicity or networking. Such perceptions take us outward to an extent where our basic competence is unattended and our approach to reach out maximum number of people exceeds to eat all our attention and energies.
I personally about an advocate in supreme court who could hardly make a list and accomplish networking to its bare… this gentlemen remained engrossed in reading journals and related books… initially there was struggle involved in light of inviting more opportunity to excel but soon his acumen and excellence was noticed and today he still has remained unchanged. He counts as one among first ten on our peninsula. There is also a reference to some advocates practicing in Supreme Court who spend a large portion of their time in developing their constituencies through networking etc. These guys undoubtedly procured more cases initially but today they are merely conduits to luminaries of the court. It goes the same for various professions around this world where people lose all their force into exercise of spreading their wings whereas those who remain well grounded and put all their ‘self’ in developing their basic skill/excellence become the names written upon the sky. They then do not need any networking or publicity. This article merely triggers the attention and need to draw a rationale between publicity related, network related and excellence related dimensions.desire2will.com.
