Do I need a Doctor's Referral for Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals in Singapore. You can go directly to a physiotherapist without any doctor's referral form.
Both terms of 'physical therapist' and 'physiotherapist' are the same. ‘Physical Therapist' started in the United States, and ‘Physiotherapist' has always been used in the UK. In Singapore, most people call 'physiotherapist' in the hospital and private physiotherapy clinics.
