The word ‘Swtor’ means star wars of the old republic. It is an online game which is based on Stars Wars Universe. Swtor was first announced on October 21. For the second time in MMO game play the Old Republic will use the cover mechanics, the first one being Tabula Rasa. Swtor is played between members of two main factions. They are namely the Galactic Republic and the Sixth Empire. Both the members have different moralities. Swtor is just to make a difference between the player’s faction and morality. The classes are conducted here. In the class the players customize their characters and are in a position to tackle the various situations therein whether with the support of a player or without any other class they move forward. The choice of the players is either open or close and it is not affected by non-player character associates. It is believed by the game developer that the game will provide more places for the characters mission. Each character in swtor, including the player character has to feature full voice dialog to increase the game play. The interaction with these characters will feature a dialogue system which equivalent to that in Mass Effect series. Players are allowed to select from a variety of non-player character. The story can be easily developed by a single player than if played by many. This way there is a keen interest in swtor. Dozens of planets will be approached by the players. These include Korriban, Taran V, Ord Mantell, Nal Hutta, Tython, Coruscant, Balmorra, Alderaan, Tatooine, Dromund Kaas, Taris, Belsavis, Voss, Hoth, Corellia, Ilum, Quesh and the moon Nar Shaddaa. According to the announcement at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 each player will receive their own starship.

The footage of space combat was released. The space combat is similar to a tunnel shooter and is also known as a scrolling shooter. In this flying game the player is on predetermined track. In this game the player has to move right or left on the X axis and down on the Y axis. In this game the player does not have a control of their own space craft. The game has a peaceful form of crafting. It is known as Crew skills. This is an adventurous game and the player and his fellow partners carry out gathering and crafting assignments serially. The crafting skills help the players’ followers to create the various items. The gathering skills help the player’s followers to collect the resources out in to the world. According to the mission skills the player’s followers do the act on behalf of the player. This helps in gaining the dark and light side of the game and thus helps in gaining rewards. There has been a collaborative effort among BioWare, LucasArts and Dark Horse Comics. This effort led to a webcomics named Star Wars: The Old Republic- Threat of Peace and Star Wars: The Old Republic- Blood of the Empire. The main intention was to create a back story as the game opens.
