The development of the real estate sector in India has been very significant in the past few years. The real estate sector in India has witnessed a roller- coaster ride in the past few years. A number of new projects have been built up in the years of 2007 and 2008 making huge contributions to the growth of Indian real estate. Almost all the cities of India have adopted the mall culture and have many modern and health centres and gyms. In fact the look and feel of the Indian cities has changed to a great extent in these last few years. A cosmopolitan and modern look has been given to all the major cities of India, with the smaller cities working up to match the standards of the tier –I cities. Though, there was a downfall in the demand of the Indian real estate during the global economic slowdown, but the industry has bounced back to its normal growth. In fact betterment in the property sector has been observed after the collapse.
The global economy is showing a positive change and same is happening with the Indian real estate. It is moving parallel to the global growth and other industries in the scene. There has been around 8- 8.5 % growth in the real estate sector this year. According to a report by Ernst and Young, the Indian real estate is sure to grow in the near future and showcases a positive outlook. Most of the profits have been made from the residential sector of the country as more numbers of people are looking for real estate. So, by keeping all the factors in mind one can say that there is a positive growth for the real estate sector of India in future.residential options. The graph of the housing sector has been escalating in the recent years because of the increasing living standards of its citizens. A house has become one of the fashion statements, which a person likes to flaunt in his friends. Because of this, all the modern amenities are instilled in these houses and leading to an invariable growth in their demand.
The commercial sector of Indian real estate is also growing at a very fast rate, with the demand for office space growing magnificently. With more of MNCs coming into picture, the requirement for commercial space is growing at its peak. The demand for commercial sector across India is expected to reach 180 million sqft by the end of year 2013. This would be mostly contributed by seven metropolises like Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Delhi NCR. Another segment which is adding to the growth of the real estate is the retail sector. Though, not much is contributed by the same, but the industry is expected to grow at a large scale in the coming years. Because of more foreign brands investing in India, the need for buildings and real estate developers have grown manifold.
Along with all these fields’ education and healthcare are also expanding their wings and giving huge business projects to the real estate market. The new schools, colleges, institutes, health centres, gyms, spas and hospitals coming up in different parts of the country have added to the growth of the property sector. India becoming a major tourist destination has also attracted huge growth prospects and in every way is promoting the benefits of the Indian real estate. So, by keeping all the factors in mind one can say that there is a positive growth for the real estate sector of India in future.
