Come rain come shine, come snow, the bride must get married and that means a hens night must be well planned. If you have to plan a winter hens party, then you will find you have limited outdoor options unless you know a great ski resort and the bride likes to ski. But even then, the hens night will have to be indoors eventually so you need to think of more indoor activities, decorations, and accessories. Here is a brief guide to help you plan the night.
Activities
It is usually not hard to plan activities for an indoor hen party. Think of food, drink, and entertainment. For food, you could go with a stylish cuisine. If the budget will allow it, you can go all out and plan a themed night for example “a night in Paris” you do not have to be in Paris for this, just get a French chef to prepare an amazing French cuisine. Then for drinks, most hens will be happy with wine and champagne. If they are the types who do not drink, then hot chocolate, coffee, and tea may be great options. Entertainment will depend on the hen's interests. Male dancers are an option or you could have party games.
Decorations
Decorations help to set the mood of the party. For example, if you are having a night in Paris then the decorations would need to be something French. You can get good deals on hens night accessories during winter since there are not as many weddings as during the summer. Depending on how wild the party will be, the decorations could be classy or all-out crazy. Glitter is a common decoration for a hens party.
Dressing
Naturally, you would want to dress warm but comfortable enough to participate in whatever activity you will have. It is common to have hens night sashes that are customised with the bride's name and some witty words on them. If you have good heating at the party venue, then you can have a PJ party theme or sexy lingerie. It may not be appropriate in a public restaurant, but you can find out if they do not mind.
Do not forget head dressing, bunny ears are a common headdress but you could also try flowers, although they may be hard to find during winter, some stores will always have the headdress you are looking for no matter the time of year. Alternatively, if you and your friends are good with their hands, you can make your own head dressing, it can be fun.
Spoil Yourselves
Winter is usually about spoiling yourself, eat the most unhealthy food, sip wine and whiskey and have as much fun as you can. It may be snowing outside, but that should not spoil the fun. Someone is getting married soon so make the most of the hen party. If the bride does not mind the decadence, then go even further and have some male strippers perform for you or have a shirtless butler serve the drinks.
Winter weddings can be beautiful and so can the hen parties so go ahead and make it all it can be.
