Since the primary and secondary education system is being stressed a lot in the country, it is not surprising that the students are required to appear for a final exam after the schooling is over. This is done to assess the overall knowledge of the students and allows them to go to higher education. Bihar School Examination Board or BSEB is an annual test that is conducted every year in the state of Bihar, for the students who are reading in the secondary school level. For all those students who are studying under the state government in various schools across the length and breadth of the state, this exam has to be appeared. The state has endeavoured to conduct the test on such a mass scale due to the purpose of:
Uniform assessment of the students
When the same questions in the same patterns are presented before the students to answer, it becomes easy to assess the students. Based on their performance, the students will get their markings from a uniform total mark. This has allowed the uniformity in the exams and also gives the students a chance to compete among other students who have studied the same course and are answering the same questions in the final. Since the exam is specific for the students, at the secondary school level, it becomes necessary for all the students to sit in this exam. After passing, students will be able to move to higher positions or to higher colleges for getting further education. BSEB has aimed to introduce the uniform assessment system in the state.
Importance of performance
For the students who are studying in the secondary school level, there is the need to understand their system of studies. Since they are supposed to appear in the exam of BSEB at the end of their secondary school level, they will have to study the final years of their school with dedication and sincerity. Although, such an exam is not very competitive, yet the importance of the board exams is very much required to be realised.
The BSEB exam is conducted to test the acquired knowledge from the secondary school level. Since these subjects are very basic steps for gaining knowledge in higher education streams, being thorough with these syllabi, helps the students in scoring good marks. The minimum pass marks are to be obtained if the students are seeking to clear the exam in the first attempt. High marks are always a bonus because this will not only demonstrate their knowledge, but they also help the students in getting admissions into various colleges of their choice.
Passing in the BSEB exam can be important in order to pursue higher education or for appearing in the entrance exams. Many exams and colleges want the eligibility criteria of a certain pass percentage. Anything lower than this eligible mark, will not allow the students to appear in the entrance exams. Therefore, students should take care to write in a good way in the secondary school exam and secure better marks, which pays in the future years.
